*Must Have*
Crampons
We advise crampons like these. so not with spikes but with wire as these are better compatible with the activities you'll be doing in the training.
*Nice to Have*
Snow Boot Gaiters
These are really helpful when walking on snowy terrain. It help's to prevent the snow from falling into your shoes from the top keeping your socks dry.
Hiking Boots
Meindl Men
If you're looking for great hicking shoes we highly recommend Meindl's in A or B class. They mold to the shape of your feet, are fantastically insolated and these also have Goterex which keeps out water. Indeed they require an investment but these high qiality shoes will last many many years.

Hicking Socks
Unisex
Socks are socks. Yet if you are looking for a warming upgrade for during a long hicke or after a cold swim, a pair of Merino hicking sock will really be the best friend of your feet.
*Tip*
Aqua Socks
Unisex
When bathing in natural water the surface below is not always smooth. It can be very rocky and bumpy. Aqua socks help you take the sharp edge off and protect the soles of your feet.
We personally hardly ever use them, but many people who joined us on our Immersive training pass this tip along to you saying: "they will make your cold water-life easier"
GEAR
+Nice to haves
BackPack 25L
Lowe Alpine
If you're looking for a high quality backpack for day trips and hickes Lowe Alpine is our favourite brand. The backpacks are light weight and completely adjustable to your size and posture.
We carry 35L packs but for you a 25Liter pack will be sufficient.
BackPack 35L
Lowe Alpine
This is the back pack we carry ourselves. They are high quality for day trips and hicking. The backpacks are light weight and completely adjustable to your size and posture.
As we said 25L will be sufficient for the training but with this 35L you've got yourself a great back for for a lot of different purposes. We often even use it for weekend trips as our only lugage.
*Nice to Have*
Travel Yoga Mat
Maduka
Personally I really don't like carrying a big yoga mat around when I travel. That's why this Maduka Yoga mat is such a great invention as you can fold it and easily make it fit into your luggage. Also Maduka is known for their high quality.
*Nice to Have*
HeadLamp
Any torch will do for the use during our training. Yet if you're looking for a new light this headlamp has some handy features being waterproof, high luminance with 12000 lumen and it's rechargeble with USB.
Sunglasses Men
Polaroid
We will be playing outside in nature. When the sun comes out it can be very useful to have a good pair of sunglasses. Especially when there is snow. Snow is very heavy in the eyes with all it's whiteness.
We prefere polarized glasses as they provide superior glare protection.

*Tip*
Microfiber Towel
Noting as yucky as needing to dry yourself with a wet towel. That's why we advice you to bring multiple towels. Personally we love using these microfiber towels after cold swimming.
they take very little space in your lugage, are light weight, they absorb way more water then regular towels and they dry really fast.
*Nice to have*
Fleece Blanket
Blankets are usefull in many ways. During breathing sessions some people can get a bit cold and tuck themselves in with a blanket. During movement work it can be nice to use a blanket to support certain body parts in contact with the floor. Also they can be a great alternative if you don't choose to bring a yoga mat.
Probably you have one or multiple of these laying around your house. otherwise you can get some really affordable ones in the link below.
*tip*
Thermos/ waterbottle
We are big fans of carrying reusable water bottles for many reasons such as staying hydrated and making sure not to throw away plastic all the time.
We both choose to use double wanded stainless steel bottles as they keep cold water cool up to 24 hours and hot drinks warm up to 12 hours.
When out in a cold environment a warm drink can literally be a life saver.
Daniel carries a 1L bottle, Ingvild preferes to carry a 0,5L bottle
*Nice to Have*
Ear Plugs
Well, what's there to say? Some people snore.... Some people are sensitive to sound...

Merino Base Layer
Icebreaker Women
Icebreaker has very fine quality merino wool shirts. The wool isn't itchy and it really feels like a second skin. Great proporties of merinio wool are that it helps you maintain your body warmth and it doesn't get smell easily.

3in1 Jacket Women
Camel Crown
3 in 1 jackets are such a brilliant invention. You can adjust to the weather and temperature making them a lot more all round then the classical big winter jackets. We personally wear a Dutch brand that is not available in Amazon. But Camel Crown seems to have a nice price vs. quality balance. Ofcourse this example comes in different colors.

Unisex Mittens
N'Ice Caps
Mittens are highly recommended and preferable over gloves. When you come out of freezing water your fingers will feel very stiff. Mittens like these are easy to slip on and because the fingers are together in one compartment they will warm up more easily.
Multiple use Headwear
Buff
Now this is one brilliant item. We both use it every winter and every training. The buff is a multiple use piece of gear which you can use as a hat, a scarf, a bandana, a face mask and more. I think there is a total of 16 functionalities for it. Daniel mostly uses it as a scarf of a hat.
Great thing about this brand which is called 'Buff', thay make them from (again) merino wool which has such a great interaction with your bodies own temprature.
